Reality Relatable: Being left out

Hi,

Today’s topic is: Being left out.

Being left out from something sucks. There isn’t a better way to say it. It sucks and it’s very painful when it happens multiple times over a long time.

Have you ever seen a post on someone’s Instagram or on someone’s Snapchat story of everyone but you at an event?

Most people have had the experience above and this can cause self - esteem issues, mental stress on looking ‘perfect’ and personality changes. All these things can occur because people think they’re not good enough to be invited somewhere.

Believe me, I know how this feels. I have been left out too many times to count.

Many of my ‘friends’ used to decide to have sleepovers and parties and never invite me and because of this I used to think I was never enough.
Never pretty enough, never perfect enough, never good enough.
This built up in my head, every event I was never good enough for.
Eventually, I cracked. I was so upset with this occurrence so I decided to distance myself from the ‘friends’ and I decided to get closer with those who I had overlooked because the other group looked down their noses at them.

Turns out the people who were looked at as ‘not enough’ were enough for me.
They were the best people I had ever had the pleasure to meet.
They invited me to every party and every sleepover.

They thought I was pretty enough.
They thought I was perfect enough.
They thought I was good enough.

The life lesson I’m trying to get across here is that many people feel left out. Maybe, if everyone who has ever felt left out could try to help someone else who feels left out, people might feel better.
I’m not saying that everyone should invite everyone to a party - unless you throw HUGE parties - but maybe invite someone to sit with you at lunch or other small acts of kindness.

Kindness costs nothing.

Crushes! Crushes! Crushes!

Hi,

So seeing as my name is Booklife and I've been posting about books, I should make a post about life. Well, today is the day I'm making a post about probably the most relatable topic I can.

Crushes.

I have had many crushes in my life and most of them have been on close guys. So I get a lot of heartache and problems with friends that are guys and I am very weary about making new guy friend. None of my crushes have worked out yet but that's only because I am not ready for a relationship at the moment.
Just leave me with Netflix and a pack of Jaffa Cakes.
*laughs while thinking about how good that sounds*

Anyway, my romantic past is a semi dead / non-existent thing but...
Yours might not be!
Keep trying, keep going and no matter what,

NEVER CHANGE TO GET YOUR CRUSH!

If they can't see how amazing and perfect you all are, then they aren't worth it.

I am very confused about my feelings towards someone at the minute because I'm really close to him and don't know what to do.
Good thing I have good friends to talk to for advice.

TOP TIP: Share how you feel with a person you trust. It makes you feel better. Trust me.

That's all for today, guys.

So happy!

This is just a post on my own account and has no relation to Bookaxe.

Hi,

I have really good news guys! I have won a new book!

So there is this site online called Bookaxe (I'll put a link below) and Bookaxe has recently put out a book competition. This book competition was that the first 100 people to sign up to the site and organise and share their bookcases so people could find and see books that they like about their favourite genres. So back to the competition. So, I signed up to the competition after seeing an ad on YouTube and - me being the avid reader I am - found the site to be amazing and well worth signing up to as it is free and easy to set up. Okay so, I was hoping and hoping to win a book as they will choose a book based from your profile on Bookaxe.
And...

I WON A BOOK!!

I got an email today confirming that I had won! I am so excited for my book to arrive and I have no idea what it is!

That's all for today!

Hi,

This is my first blog post so I doubt anyone will read it but might as well try to live up to my introduction and start off by telling you something more about myself.
So here’s a quick bullet point list:

  • I am a huge lover of books
  • I love the Netflix show ‘Shadowhunters’
  • My favourite food is cookie dough
  • I love to listen to pop music but also music by Panic! At The Disco and Ruelle
I hope you have learnt something new about me which you probably have because I am new to blogging.
